Latin Quarter began it’s journey as a pioneering food truck, offering a fresh take on Latin-inspired cuisine to the Richmond community.
Founded by brothers Dionis and Adam Taveras, this family-run venture quickly gained popularity for its innovative use of plantains and vibrant flavors. Launched in the summer of 2022, Latin Quarter has since expanded its horizons, growing from the bustling streets of Richmond to its very own brick-and-mortar location.
From humble beginnings on wheels to a permanent spot, Latin Quarter remains dedicated to delivering delicious experiences to its customers, one plantain sandwich at a time.

Rooted in Dominican heritage and culinary exploration, Latin Quarter’s journey began with a vision to introduce Latin flavors in a unique way through plantains.
From childhood memories of enjoying traditional dishes like “Pernil” to honing culinary history, our passion for Latin cuisine led us to begin our journey with our food truck.
